Andrea Gallo
Andrea Gallo was born in Milan in 1990. He approached the study of classical guitar under the guidance of Roberto Lonoce. In 2004, he was admitted to the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan in Paolo Cherici's class. In 2011, he obtained his traditional diploma with highest honors and distinction. He has participated in national and international competitions, achieving numerous awards. He has taken masterclasses with Oscar Ghiglia, Piero Bonaguri, Lorenzo Micheli, Tilman Hoppstock, Adriano Del Sal, Margarita Escarpa, Carlo Marchione, Matteo Mela, Marcyn Dylla, and Robert Trent. In 2013, he won a scholarship through the musical performance competition for plucked instruments "Luigi Restelli" organized by the Milan Conservatory. Also in Milan in 2013, he obtained his second-level Academic Diploma in classical guitar with a solo performance focus, achieving highest honors, distinction, and special mention. He attended the annual advanced concert training course held by Enea Leone for several years. He later specialized with Andrea Dieci and Bruno Giuffredi at the "Giulio Regondi" Guitar Academy. His intense concert activity has seen him perform at important venues and music festivals as a soloist and within various chamber music ensembles. In 2022, he recorded the CD "Viozzi: Complete Music for Solo Guitar" for Brilliant Classics, an album that for the first time collects the complete original works for classical guitar by the composer from Trieste, Giulio Viozzi, featuring pieces in their world premiere recordings. He is a classical guitar teacher in public schools and curator of important orchestral and ensemble music sectors for young musicians. Through the artistic collaboration with clarinetist Carlo Enrico Sandrini, "Duo Ynarsi" was born in 2023.
